Google Shopping is the premier platform for online shopping, leading the way in shopping technology with advanced pricing tools, personalized recommendations, and real-time shipping updates. It offers the most seamless and efficient shopping experience on the internet.

As a senior art director and designer, I collaborated with the client to elevate their email designs. I presented multiple art direction options and product curations to help achieve their objectives, coordinated with photographers to ensure the creative vision was executed, and developed motion graphics highlighting key shopping tips. With the introduction of AI-generated imagery, I integrated AI into the entire creative process, from moodboarding and sketching to final imagery. These AI-generated visuals were Google's first-ever consumer-facing generative AI images to go to market, representing a significant innovation in the brand’s creative approach.

Welcome email

Our Welcome Email is designed to warmly introduce new users to the enhanced features of Google Shopping, offering a seamless blend of information and visual engagement. It highlights tools like price tracking, smart pricing, and ratings, all aimed at improving the shopping experience. To make this introduction more dynamic, I created a series of animated graphics that showcase these features in action, providing users with an engaging and intuitive overview. The email is both inviting and instructional, ensuring that users feel welcomed while quickly understanding how these tools can simplify and personalize their shopping journey.

Using Adobe Firefly, I created a series of AI-generated images to highlight 4th of July products across a wide range of categories, from decorations and apparel to outdoor essentials. Each image was carefully designed to capture the festive spirit of the holiday while showcasing the products in a visually appealing way. After generating the initial images, I meticulously retouched each one to enhance realism, adjusting details like lighting, textures, and colors to ensure they resembled high-quality, professional photographs. This combination of AI creativity and manual refinement helped create images that are both eye-catching and authentic, perfect for promotional use.

In response to growing concerns about environmental factors, Google Maps Platform recently rolled out a groundbreaking series of APIs dedicated to addressing key issues such as Air Quality, Solar information, and Pollen levels. As part of this initiative, I was tasked with constructing a versatile and cohesive design layout that could effectively integrate and present data from all three APIs. The challenge was ensuring that the design met the specific requirements of each environmental aspect and provided a unified and user-friendly experience for customers seeking information on Air Quality, Solar conditions, and Pollen levels.

Memorial Day

Our Memorial Day email marked a milestone as one of the first times we leveraged generative AI, using Adobe Firefly to create a series of themed visuals. These Memorial Day-inspired images spanned various product categories, making them the first-ever consumer-facing AI-generated imagery at Google. This innovative approach not only captured the essence of the holiday but also showcased products in a fresh, visually captivating way, setting a new standard for creative engagement.
