NIKE: OUTSIDE THE BOX - ART DIRECTion & design
As the Art Director, Designer, and Photographer for Outside The Box, a global editorial content series, I played a crucial role in bringing the stories of sneaker industry innovators to life. The series highlights individuals such as Ian Williams, who opened a sneaker-themed coffee shop in Portland, Hannah Helsø, who owns one of the largest sneaker collections in Norway, and Joshua Marin, who followed in the family trade as a sneaker cobbler in Chicago. These are individuals who have yet to have their stories told on a wider scale. The series is featured on the NSW Instagram and Nike’s YouTube and digital channels. Episode 2 is the highest viewed post on Nike Sportswear’s Instagram page with 790k views and counting.
Throughout the production process, I had a wide range of responsibilities. I was involved in pre-production duties such as story-boarding, location scouting, and shot-lists. On set, I was responsible for set design, photography, and art direction. In post-production, I directed the soundtrack, editing, and color. Additionally, I created the design aesthetic that is seen throughout the video, app, email, and Nike.com. Overall, my role was crucial in ensuring that the series was visually striking, informative, and effectively communicated the stories of the individuals featured.
